I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
